Starters for the new school year.

My school is going through a rather massive schedule overall so no bells and 65 minute classes. My aim is to get the kids into a routine asap. While we all aim to be able to choral the kids into our classroom or the aim here is to have a great little first activity to have them all run to my class on time.  ( HAHA we can all dream!)
So here it is the 30 starters i've compiled into this long infographic. (I will hopefully grow this list into the year and maybe even through the summer).
I hope it will refresh your memory of all the fun stuff and useful you can do in your class without re-inventing the wheel that is.  ( I think you should be able to click on the pictures to see them bigger!

Review week cont. For the lil' French ones- dice game

Here goes another way to review several topics at once with minimal planing and using ... gamification.

Basic French question dice

There are may template on the web for dice and using my Smartboard software I can customize these in a jiffy. I find tape holds these together much better than glue by the way...

Here is an example of a review of basic french question that students can use in groups of 2/3 and take turn answering rolling and have fun conversing.

Review week

POINT AT vocab visual sheets.

As we wrap up the year and as any of you do too, here is an activity the kids thoroughly enjoyed during their exam review week.

Can you think of ways to use these?

I was thinking of printing ovals and squares and hollowing them to also section off bits of the picture.  I think I'ill try that as a review activity at the end of the first chapter next year!

Battleship- Bataille Navale - Descriptions and verbe Avoir

Here it is my first post,
nothing fancy here but cute and simple and always a joy for the students to play.

Let's practice the verb Avoir - I always find it intriguing that in French and Spanish you have to start with irregular verbs to start expressing yourself!

As all levels are different - I did not include the number of boats and size of boats.
And there is still English here.

In my school, we try for 100%TL so below will be the version I'll be using in September as a review for the kids... Also in the works a visual version without the actual words.
TL only battlehip!
